Times have continued to move forward and how to face the times also must change. Innovation in the face of such a shift is absolutely necessary. So the principle of "keeping good old things and taking new things better" must continue to be actualized.
That principle is held by Aris Sofyan, an alumnus of Al-Munawir Islamic boaring school Krapyak Yogyakarta. Due to his persistence in working, he could be able to get into outstanding competitions in the digital age.
Aris could make an app concept for smartphones that almost everyone has. From his creativity, Aris and his team managed to get an investment of some Rp. 4.2 billion for the development of his application concepts.
Business world has been an interest since his childhood. "The more here because I also have a hobby to operate computer, whether its coding or its technology development, I just know if startup (IT pilot) could get big funds from investors," said Aris.
On this stand, he has tried to make the concept of startup application and then held cooperation with companies engaged in technology and information to develop the application.
The application is named Kongkon. Kongkon is an android based application designed to serve all the services needed by the community. Investors see that the Kongkon concept is attractive and has a positive prospect. Finally the investors want to finance the development of this application.
"Insya Allah in the near future the Kongkon service application could already be enjoyed by the community," the CEO of Kongkon said.
From the experience of pioneering the success of the business, Aris, who also serves as Deputy Treasurer of Nahdlatul Ulama Students Association (IPNU) called on all santri to have a dream to pursue what they aspire to.
"Today's era needs people who could read circumstances and be innovative. Santri who are accustomed to living simple and popularly known as tenacious individuals must be able to adapt to the needs of the times," Aris said.
According to him, santri should make innovations so that they are no longer considered outdated and underestimated by those who are not santri.
"And most importantly, we must cultivate more relationship as our culture," he concluded. (Jefri Samodro/Masdar)
