General chairwoman of an Islamic women organization Muslimat Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), concurrently Social Affairs Minister Khofifah Indar Parawansa has expressed hope that drug-free stickers can be pinned at residential homes.
"We propose the drug-free families are willing to receive stickers to be pinned at their houses with drug-free inscription. The stickers are being designed. If any family showing reluctance to receive the stickers, it may means something (drug problem)," Khofifah was quoted by Antara as saying here on Sunday.
Anti-drug warriors of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) are expected to pin the stickers, she said at the 70th anniversary of the PP Muslimat Nahdlatul Ulama in West Java provincial city of Bandung.
According to her, the Muslimat Nahdlatul Ulama has confirmed to combat the danger of drug abuse in the country through among others the setting up of Anti-drug warriors in respective region.
"We declare war against the drug abuse. Islamic women preachers who are present at this gathering will explain about the danger of drug abuse at any occasion organized by the Muslimat NU," Khofifah pointed out.
A total 5,000 Anti-drug warriors of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) will be inaugurated on May 21, 2016 in the East Java Provincial city of Jombang, the minister added. (Masdar)
