The Central Board of Muslimat NU will hold a halal bihalal gathering at the auditorium of the Religious Affiars Ministry, Jl. MH. Tamrin 6, Jakarta on Thursday (13/9).<>

The organizing committee will invite all board members of Muslimat NU and foundations or institutions run by the autonomous body of the country's largest Muslim organization.

The foundations are, among others, the Welfare Foundation of Muslimat NU (YMK NU), the Education Foundation of Muslimat NU (YPM NU), the Hajj Foundation of Muslimat NU (YHM NU), the Hajj Association of Muslimat NU, the Preachers' Association and Religious Gathering (HIDMAT NU) and the An-Nisa Cooperative (INKOPAN).

"We estimate that this (gathering) will be attended by some 300 people," Susiana told NU Online by phone here on Tuesday (11/9), adding that the committee would only invite the Jakarta's Regional Board of Muslimat NU and a number of NU Branch Boards across jabodetabek (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi).

Susiana added, the committee would also invite the board members of Muslimat NU from such regions as Banten and Lampung.

At the upcoming gathering, Muslimat NU will also inaugurate YKM NU, YPM NU and HIDMAT NU. The would-be board members, Susiana said, were expected to be able to continue the performance of the old management to serve the people, especially NU followers (Nahdliyin).

Meanwhile, the religious sermon will reportedly be delivered by Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs who is also senior figure of the Nahdliyin-based organization, Prof. Dr. KH Nazaruddin Umar.
