Three Ansor advisors run for Jombang regent

Three advisors of the Jombang's Ansor Youth Movement have registered themselves to run for the position of regent of Jombang, East Java. The three are Munir Alfanani, Nyono Suharly and Widjono Soeparno who in turn got Banser escort when registering at the Commission's office of Jombang.<>

Munir Alfanani registered himself as a regent candidate pairing with Wiwik Nuriyati (Mukti). Supported by the National Awakening Party (PKB), the two were first registrant in the Commission and escorted by Banser members, dozens of Muslimat NU and the party's cadres on Wednesday (20/2).

While the Nyono Suharly and Mundjidah Wahab pair is supported by five parties, namely the Golkar Party, PPP, PKS, the Democratic Party of Gerindra Party. The pair was also escorted by Banser members and hundreds of Muslimat NU when registering to the Commission on Thursday (21/2). Mundjidah was a former chairwoman of NU Muslimat for two periods.

The third is the Widjono-Sumrambah (Wira) pair nominated by PDIP, Hanura and PKPB. Escorted by Ansor members and hundreds of PDIP cadres, this pair registered to the Commission on the day last Friday (22/2).

Chairman of Jombang's Ansor, Sholahul Am Notobuono said the Jombang 2013 election was quite special for involving three advisors of Ansor equally registering themselves as Jombang's regent candidates.

"This is part of our efforts to safeguard the Jombang election to run democratic, safe, conducive and there is no anarchists detrimental to the whole community,'' he said.
