Radhar Panca Dahana passes away at 56

Innaa lillahi wa innaa ilahi rajiun. The prominent culturalist Radhar Panca Dahana passed away at Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital at 20.00 PM on Thursday (22/4). The news of Radhar's death was stated by the late's younger brother, Radhar Tribaskoro, via Facebook.

 

"Having passed away tonight at 8:00 p.m. my beloved younger brother Radhar Panca Dahana in the emergency room at Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital," he wrote.

 

Tribaskoro also apologized for all the mistakes of his younger brother.

 

"We are sorry for all his mistakes and sins. Please pray that he will get the best place by His side. Aaminn YRA," Tribaskoro said.

 

Radhar was born in Jakarta 56 years ago. He wrote various forms of writing such as poetry and short stories, essays on literary and cultural criticism, and politics. His essays were collected in his work entitled Culture in Politics, Critics of Democracy (2015).

 

He completed his undergraduate studies in sociology from the University of Indonesia (1993) and his master's degree in the same field at the École des Hautes Études en Science Sociales, Paris, France (2001).

 

Radhar has also been a lecturer at the Postgraduate School of Islamic Religion of Nahdlatul Ulama (STAINU) Jakarta which is now the Indonesian Nahdlatul Ulama University (Unusia).
