STAINU Jakarta committed to producing qualified graduates

The Nahdlatul Ulama High Institute for Islamic Studies (STAINU) Jakarta held the 5th graduation ceremony for undergraduate (S1) and diploma (D3) students at the Sasono Langen Budoyo, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) Jakarta on Tuesday (27/9). In this annual procession, STAINU Jakarta is committed to continuing to produce graduates having broad interesting in the teachings of Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah (Aswaja) An-Nahdliyah professionally.
In his speech, Chairman of STAINU Jakarta H Syahrizal Sharif said that global competition was increasingly visible in all areas and as such a challenge for the STAINU to keep producing as many qualified graduates as possible academically.
According to Syahrizal, the graduates must keep maintaining and preserving the roots of the Indonesian tradition and cultures having long been standing for centuries.
"This can only be done by qualified graduates if equipped with the Aswaja (teachings) that have such characters as moderate, friendly and tolerant. This understanding has even become compulsory curriculum in the STAINU Jakarta," said Syahrizal.
He also explained that the STAINU Jakarta would continually reform digitally its learning and teaching process for "the system in the STAINU Jakarta has already been integrated digitally and will immediately implement the E-Learning system."
Syahrizal expected the graduates to become scholars being capable of playing active roles in society. They are not only required to work on the field, but also work professionally in any field.
Present at this occasion were, among others, the Supreme Leader (Rais Aam) of NU KH Ma'ruf Amin, the Minister of Youth and Sports Affairs H Imam Nahrawi, the Chairman of NU H Marsudi Syuhud, the Chairman of BP3TNU H Marzuki Usman, the Secretary of the Advisory Board (Katib Syuriyah) of NU KH Mujib Qulyubi, the Chairman of Maarif NU H Arifin Junaidi, lecturers and academicians of the STAINU Jakarta.
