Banser members urged to remain calm over Garut's flag-burning case

Responding to the burning of HTI flags in Garut recently, Ansor Multipurpose Front (Banser) of Wonosobo, Central Java, held a religious gathering in the Wonosobo Square on Friday (26/10).
In the gathering Wonosobo Banser gave support for the burning of HTI flags that occurred in Garut because what is burned is not a tauhid sentence but a flag belonged to the banned hard line organization.
Banser Wonosobo also supported the Indonesian government to keep enforcing the law in accordance with the 1945 Constitution.
The chairman of Branch Coordinating Unit (Kasatkorcab) of Banser Wonosobo M Kurnianto called on all Banser members in Wonosobo in particular and in other regions in general to remain calm.
"Because now whatever done by Banser will be wrong in their eyes. The Banser Wonosobo must remain calm, don't be easily provoked," he said.
In line with M Kurnianto, General Chairperson of the Patriot Garuda Nusantara (PGN) Gus Iwan Cahyono also called for Banser in Wonosobo to remain calm and one command.
"There should be organizations outside Ansor, Banser, and NU that uphold the NU dignity, namely Patriot Garuda Nusantara (PGN)," Gus Iwan said.
In addition, Gus Iwan also conveyed that if Banser found HTI movements in Wonosobo, so as to hand over the case to PGN members to secure it and ask that the NU Banser for temporarily has to refrain and support it. (Masdar)
