Chief of supreme council of Nahdlatul Ulama KH Ma’ruf Amin guided a man being a Moslem by reciting syahadat. The moment was happened at the University of Islam Nusantara Bandung, after Kiai Ma’ruf was appointed as Uninus university teacher, with functional position as professor at Islamic economics subject

The recitation of syahadat by man named Eduardo Gomez started when Eduarto approached KH Ma’ruf Amin dan said his intention to embrace Islam. After that, Kiai Ma’ruf guided the man who dressed batik by asking him to follow every centences that he said. 

While shaking hand, Eduardo Gomez followed every word syahadat carefully. "Asyhadu an laa ilaaha illallah, wa asyhadu anna Muhammadan Rasuulullah. “I testify that there is no god except Allah, and I testify that Muhammad is messenger of Allah,” said Kiai Ma’ruf that followed by Eduardo, on Thursday (9/6).

The recitation of two syahadat centences was closed with joy by attendants who filled the room, then  followed with hamdalah and clapping. After he was given islamic name as Muhammad Eduardo Gomes, Kiai Ma’ruf lead praying, and all attendants said amiin.
