The child born from the Makhrus and Sulastri pair came to the achievements through a long struggle following her participation in the national level selection.
Maritza participated in the Olympics debriefing and evaluation conducted by MIN 1 Malang and the Ministry of Education and Culture in Jakarta.
At the the 5th stage of debriefing in October 2015, there were 12 best participants chosen to represent Indonesia. Maritza Gantari is the only representative from madrasah in Indonesia as quoted by the kemanag.go.id.
"Almost every day, before participating in the Olympics, I learned math for 1 to 1.5 hours. I did all this following the guidance in Madrasah," Maritza said here on Thursday (19/11).
During the competition, Maritza had to complete 25 questions and 13 descriptive ones on the first day. The next day I had to complete 6 exploratory questions with a variety of experiments.
Maritza did feel happy, in addition to winning medals and certificates, she could also know more about other cultures, especially Thailand. (masdar)
