The central board of Nahdlatul Ulama carried out Organizational consolidation toward first century of NU throughout west Kalimantan (Kalbar) in Pontianak on Saturday (9/15) night.
Present at the meeting are Chief of Supreme Council KH Ma’ruf Amin, General Chairman NU KH Said Aqi Siroj, as well as Chairman NU Robikin Emhas who is also head of the organizational consolidation team. Also attend Deputy of Secretary General of NU H Andi Najmi and H Ulil Abshar Hadrawi.
Robikin said the participants were all functionaries of NU west Kalimantan along with all organizer of 18 institutions and 14 otonomous bodies of NU, both at the provincial level and the regency or the city level throughout west Kalimatan such as Muslimat, Fatayat, Ansor, Pagar Nusa, ISNU, and others.
“Moreover, all member of supreme councils (rais syuriyah) and recretary of supreme councils (katib syuriyah ), secretaries of executive body (tanfidziyah), and treasurers of regional levels of NU (PCNU),” he added on Saturday evening.
He also explained that the organizational consolidation which involved structural, cultural, and programs was followed by all stakeholder of islamic boarding schools, ulemas and islamic intellectual figures (masyayikh), as well as cultural figures of NU throughout west Kalimantan.
The activities was follow up of the same agenda at Jakarta that held by the Central Board of NU on August, 30. Its activity would be held at all Indonesian territories until village or subdistric level marathonally. Even at 41 special branchs where NU exist abroad.
After the Central Board of NU held the organizational consolidation, The east Java provincial level of NU carried out the same program on September 3.
The consolidation was aimed so that NU, both the organization and the community is ready to welcome the first century of the birth on January 31, 2016. The year when the world will be impacted by information and digital technology as well as the transformation of world leadership from old generation to new generation which known as millennial generation.
“The consolidation affirmed that NU must be ready. There is no other choice. And with the protection and help of Allah, insyaallah NU is ready to welcome it,” he said, finished the speech. (Red: Kendi Setiawan)
