PBNU to urge govt to divert Lapindo mudflow to sea

Jakarta, NU OnlineThe country’s largest Muslim organization, Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) urged here on Tuesday (5/9) the government to immediately divert Lapindo huge and hot mudflow pouring out of an exploratory oil well to sea. General Chairman of the Central Board of Nahdlatul Ulama, KH Hasyim Muzadi expected the authorities to be tough in taking necessary actions to avoid a major disaster and also must be transparent in giving locals accurate information on the mudflow.
