Millions of Muslims to join religious tarekat meeting

Millions of Muslims on Sunday (27/8) followed joint istigotsah and tahlil in the Islamic Boarding “Pesantren” School Al-Fitrah, Kedinding, Kenjeran, Surabaya. The forum lead by the great Islamic cleric Hadratus Sheikh KH Asrory Al-Ishaqi was organized by the Al-Khidmah organization.
The forum held twice a year was also inundated those coming from overseas such as Malaysia, Singapure, and Brunei Darussalam.
<>At the meantime, the followers rolled out mats to sit on such as prayer rug, carpet, plastic, newspaper and so on around the Streets of the pesantren. Alleys around the Kedinding district were also inundated by many following the joint prayers.According to organizing committee chief H. Hasanuddin, as an event organizer Al-Khidmah organization since its establishment and located in 13 provinces and 63 regencies throughout Indonesia has played actively roles to make the forum successful.
“This is because of efforts of the clerics in pesantrens, religious meetings, prayer houses, and mosques in conducting routinely majelis ta’lim, manakib, and khotmil Qur’an,” H Hasanuddin said.
Present at the occasion, the State Minister of Underdeveloped Regions Saifullah Yusuf and scores of East Java's governor's officials. (nam)
