Kiai Said Masuk Jajaran Tokoh Islam Berpengaruh Dunia, Kalahkan Presiden Mesir

Ketua Umum PBNU KH Said Aqil Siroj masuk menjadi jajaran tokoh paling berpengaruh di dunia. Ia Menduduki urutan ke 20. Posisi ini lebih tinggi daripada beberapa presiden di negara Muslim seperti presiden Mesir Abdul Fatah Al-Sisi yang berada di urutan (21), Sultan Muhammadu Sa’adu Abubakar III, Nigeria (Sultan of Sokoto) (21), Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad (28), President Mahmoud Abbas. Ulama populer Dr Yusuf Al Qaradawi berada di urutan 31.   

Penghargaan ini sudah diselenggarakan untuk ke-8 kali yang meliputi para pimpinan negara, tokoh agama, tokoh politik, sosial, budaya, akademisi, pengusaha, ilmuwan, seniman, atlet. tokoh ekstremis Muslim juga dimasukkan.

Presiden Joko Widodo sebagai orang yang memimpin negara dengan penduduk mayoritas Muslim terbesar di dunia berada di urutan ke 13. Tokoh Indonesia lainnya yang masuk dalam jajaran tokoh berpengaruh 50 besar adalah   Din Syamsuddin (41), Habib Luthfi bin Yahya (45).
