'Islamic khilafah propagated by those who know nothing about Islam'

Efforts aimed at establishing the Islamic khilafah or “golden age” of Islamic rule, through political means are only echoed by those who do not understand about Islam. <>
Syrian prominent Muslim scholar Sheikh Wahbah Az - Zuhaili made the remarks on the sidelines of an international ulema meeting held by the International Conference of Islamic Scholars (ICIS) here on Sturday (29/3).
He did not agree with the movement for often creating violence and conflict among the ummah, saying that it was only supported by extremist groups.
"The extreme Islamic indications are, among others, groups that believe themselves to be the only truth. They Believe the way that they take is as a religion, and is no longer just a theory of knowledge," he said.
While the values that must be followed Muslims are moderate values of the Qur'an and Islam, instead of purely human values. Because, the human values were only born and brought by the mission of the remnant of the Crusades, said Sheikh Wahbah.
