C. Java's RMI NU discusses pesantren strengthening programs

The Regional Board of Rabithah Ma'ahid Islamiyah of Nahdlatul Ulama (RMI NU), Central Java, held a ta'aruf and coordination at the Office of Central Java's Regional Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PWNU), Jl. Dr . Cipto 180 Semarang on Saturday (16/11).<>
Deputy secretary of the Central Java RMI NU, Mandzur labih, said the meeting would also be used to prepare work programs in addition to finalizing some future agenda.
"There are some important things to be discussed at this meeting, including economic empowerment and pesantren institutional strengthening programs," he said.
HE added, the RMI NU management would always be committed to further cultivating the relationship between NU pesantren in Central Java with non Islamic institutions.
In Central Java alone , there are a great many boarding schools , which are scattered in different districts or cities , which became one of the important bases NU strength in the region .
The Central Java's RMI NU for ther period 2013-2018 is led by Gus Rozin (KH Abdul Ghaffar Rozin bin Sahal Mahfud), Director of the Islamic College of Mathaliul Falah (STAIMAFA) of Pati, Central Java.
