Cak Nun, Sujiwo Tejo take part in NU's anniversary

Culturalists Emha Ainun Najib (Cak Nun) and Sujiwo Tejo will take part in commemorating an anniversary of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Indonesia's largest Muslim organization at the NU's headquarters, Jln Kramat Raya 164 Jakarta on January 30-3I, 2013.<>
The momentous event sponsored by Lajnah Ta'lif wan Nasr (Center for Research and Development) will focus on "Atlas Wali Songo", written by NU's historian Agus Sunyoto and is published by LTN in collaboration with Iman press. This book elaborates the journey and dakwa methods conducted by the nine saints which have long been preserved and maintained by NU.
On Wednesday, January 30, after maghrib prayers, there will be a religious gathering initiated by the Nahdlatul Ulama Preaching Institution (LDNU) and be followed by puppet performance.
Sujiwo Tejo on Wednesday will perform puppet on Sunan Kalijogo, one of the nine saints that used puppets as part of his methods in propagating Islamic teaching.
