Indonesian Ulama Council (MUI) strongly condemned the violent action by Egyptian military towards the supporters of the ousted president Mohammed Mursi. One source mentioned that the death toll in violence on early Saturday has reached 120 people. <>
"Egyptian military regime shot dead the people. The military get the power by overthrowing their leader who was elected democratically. I hope Indonesian government will not recognize the unconstitutional and immoral regime," Chairman of MUI, Anwar Abbas said on Monday.
Abbas who also Chairman of Central Executive in Muhammadiyah as one of largest Muslim organizations in Indonesia, said that Egyptian military has tarnished the democratic principles.
