Innalillahi, Pesantren Krapyak's Gus Kelik dies

Days after the death of the member of Advisory Board (syuriyah) of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) KH Mas Subadar, the leader of Pesantren Besuk Pasuruan, East Java; yesterday evening sad news came from pesantren Krapyak Yogyakarta following the death of KH M. Rifqi Ali, popularly known as Gus Kelik.
Gus Kelik is the son of KH Ali Maksum (charismatic cleric once Acting Supreme Council of NU). He died in Panembahan Senopati hospital, Bantul Yogyakarta on Tuesday night (2/8) at around 22:10.
He is the leader of the so-called Majlis Sholawat Bil Mustafa. "He could recite proficiently shalawat in addition to leading large members of the diba'iyah congregation," the leader of Pesantren Kaliopak KH M Jadul Maula told NU Online.
According to Jadul, at the Gus Kelik's wedding ceremony, the late KH Abdurrahman Wahid (Gus Dur) came and said that Gus Kelik was one of those whose prayers are accepted (mustajab). Alfaatihah .... (Abdullah Alawi/Masdar)
