IPNU-IPPNU cadres told to build integrity

Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Dahlan Iskan called for the importance of Nahdlatul Ulama Students Association (IPNU) and Nahdlatul Ulama Girl Students Association (IPPNU) to build intergity which requires a consistent framework of internal moral and rational principles.<>
"In the future, the importance things are quality, character, and the most important thing is integrity," said Dahlan on the sidelines of IPNU-IPPNU congress in Palembang, South Sumatra recently.
Therefore, he called on the NU young cadres to prepare themselves before being future leaders to demonstrate their strength and integrity through action and behaviour.
"Before, we did not think of (the importance of) this (integrity), we thought the requirements to become a leader are just having ability to flatter (the boss) or popularity, but trust me in coming 5 or 10 years, integrity is the number one requirement," he said.
