NU chairman candidates asked to submit leadership programs

Deputy Secretary General of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Hanif Saha Ghofur asked general chairman candidates of the Nahdliyin-based organization for the period 2015-2020 to submit their leadership programs in writing. <>
He called for the importance of this provision to be stipulated as one of the conditions for NU cadres having good will to nominate themselves or be nominated as general chairman hopefuls of the country's largest Muslim organization.
Hanif Saha Ghofur made the remarks on the sidelines of a preparatory meeting ahead of NU Congress 2015 here on Wednesday (21/1).
"NU general chairman candidates must arrange their own vision and mission as well as work programs to lead NU (for the coming five years). It is important to arrange in writing," Hanif said.
According to Hanif, the provision of conditions in "writing" is really important to both examine and consider the feasibility of the prospective candidates. Moreover, NU members can make the written work programs as a reference for NU executive board members in the future.
"Let us not choose NU general chairman candidates with a 'blank paper'," Hanif said before the committee meeting attednded by some 25 participants.
