NU established five posts care for Lombok eartquake victims

To help evacuation process maximally for Lombok West Nusa Tenggara earthquake victims, Nahdlatul Ulama has established five posts of caring. The number of post has been added from previously only three.
The head of the Institute of Disaster Management and Climate Change of Nahdlatul Ulama M. Ali Yusuf said, the five posts spreaded in all Lombok regions that has been destructed by the earthquake.
“The total of NU caring post was five, two in East Lombok, one in North Lombok, one in West Lombok, and one in Mataram,” said Ali Yusuf to NU Online, in Jakarta on Monday, (6/8).
He explained, NU volunteers who have taken action in the field to help the victims or stand guard in the posts tried to give some help such as public kitchen, psycho-social, and health services.
The institution, said Ali, has send a lot of needs for the earthquake victims that happened in 7.0 magniture
“Now, we have distributed fast food, terpaulin, blanked, drinking water, clothes, etc,” said Ali
Ali Yusuf appealed to NU followers to send everything that needed by the Lombok earthquake victims
The latest news reported that there were 91 people dead and hundreds of others injured by earthquake that happened on Sunday (8/5/2018) at 18.46 western indonesia time with 6.8 magnitude, but without tsunami potency.
But after that, The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) updated the information that the earthquake was 7.0 magnitude with tsunami potency. Shocking caused by the earthquake could be felt in Bali. (Fathoni)
