NU team accompanied the people whose their villages went down

Besides built refugee tents for the people who affected by earthquake and tsunami in Central Sulawesi at Tawanduka refuge areas, NU Care team also provided clean water reservoir. 

M Wahib Emha from NU Care team explained that majority of the people at the Tawanduka refugee areas are residents of Balaroa real estate complex who survived from liquefaction that destroy their houses.

“There are Balaroa residents who have a house here. (Tawanduka) in the form of unoccupied land, we used if as refugee areas,” said Wahib on Sunday (10/7).

Wahib and his team helped the residents since Tuesday (10/2). According to him, before NU Care team visited the area and built tents, the people must sleep on grass and only roofed sky.

“We facilitated them with shelters, toilets, lamps by genset, clean water and logistics assistance,” he explained. 

NU Care team also asked the people to send praying, besides congregational praying. During the day, the residents are looking for seek their families. “They still want the lost family members can be found. At the afternoon, they come back to the refugee areas,” he ended the speech. (Kendi Setiawan)
