Pesantren graduates should not only be proficient in the field of religion, but also be capable of playing important roles in other fields, especially economics and entrepreneurial skills. At this point they can use the skills as useful capitals for their surrounding communities.<>
KH Osama Mansur, the leader of Pesantren An-Nasuha Kalimukti Cirebon, made the remarks at a seminar on entrepreneurship held by the Cirebon's Male Student Association of Nahdlatul Ulama (IPNU) and the Female Students Association of Nahdlatul Ulama (IPPNU) at Pesantren An-Nasuha, Cirebon on Tuesday (18/6).
"I do support the event like this, with the goal that pesantren graduates will not become stupid. With the entrepreneurial skills, then a student can function independently for the public interest, " the Chairman of Lawmaking Body of the Cirebon's Branch Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PCNU) said.
Meanwhile, Ahmad Saekhu of the Agricultural Development Institute of Nahdlatul Ulama (LPPNU) of Cirebon called for the importance of students to pay more attention to five key things that are ordinary and familiar in everyday life of the students in pesantren, ie dream, intention, planning, implementation, and perseverance.
