For a semester, LDNU will set 8 remarkable programs

From January to Jun 2007, Nahdlatul Ulama Preaching Institution (LDNU) has set 8 remarkable programs as parts of its mission. The implementation of the program was discussed on Saturday (13/1) at the NU office, Jakarta.
At least the NU institution has since long time ago conducted a routine agenda called as istighosah and Wednesday’s monthly religious sermon. January is considered as the very special month coincided with the NU 81th anniversary on coming January 31.
According to the Lamongan born-figure, the human resource development was really important to face any social condition. “We are to evolve the preaching materials within the frame of strengthening aswaja,” he said.
LDNU will also campaign the importance of measles prevention on 23, 26, 31 of January and 6, 9 of February in Serang, Jakarta, Semarang, Surabaya, and Bandung. The NU institution’s program in collaboration with the UNICEF is the second that had formerly been conducted in Sumatra.
“This is the preaching of health. Islam loves cleanliness,” he said, adding that the awareness of the value was important to prevent it. (mkf)
