Gorontalo's PWNU Regional Conference Runs successfully

Regional Conference of Gorontalo’s Regional Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PWNU), conducted this weekend was running well by successfully naming a new General Chairman for the period of 2006-2011 leadership.
The new chairman of Gorontalo’s PWNU, Karim Pateda, Saturday (15/7) said the initial program he would implement was continuing the policy as proposed by his predecessor.
He hoped NU followers (nahdliyin) living in the province are collectively capable of developing humankind to fight against any denial.
“Indonesia’s culture is now being entered by the foreign influence that is not appropriate to its worldview, especially in Gorontalo that well known as a philosophy “Adat Bersendikan Sara, Sara bersendikan Kitabullah’,” Karim said.
He cited that the Gorontalo’s PWNU next would establish Islamic schools, such as Islamic Senior High (MA), Islamic Junior High (MTs), Elementary School (MI), Islamic public hospital and Secretariat Office of Gorontalo’s PWNU.
“Gorontalo’s PWNU will soon undertake such a structural act of refreshing following the new chairman to maximally implement the coming PWNU’s function and duty,” he added.
The structure of the PWNU within the period of 2006-2011 consists of Karim Pateda (General Chairman), Syafrudin Giu (Secretary), Binol Harun (Treasurer), and other divisions. (ant/nam)
