General chairman of the Central Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) KH Hasyim Muzadi said Friday (4/8) that the existing legal system in Indonesia has made nation’s condition complicated as a result of a lot of irresponsible lawmaking bodies.
“Many unclear institutions and commissions like this and that. If that happens, our (legal) system tends to lock. So if there were such problems, there was no one whose responsibility, that’s unclear. So there is no doubt that, the developing country of ours is not appropriate to the system,” Hasyim told NU Online in Jakarta, Friday.
Hasyim said that Indonesia needs a simple and easy legislation system that must be completed by an honest leadership. Without this, he added, whatever product resulted by the legal system would produce power justification.
Hasyim suggested that our legal system should ensure many respects such as “nation’s unity, nation’s quality, and nation’s productivity. (nam)
