General chairman of the Central Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) KH Hasyim Muzadi said Thursday (10/8) that Zionist “Israel” State and its close ally US would certainly ignore international condemnation and protests following the recent Israeli raid in both Lebanon and Palestine.
While visiting to the Islamic boarding "Pesantren" school Al-Hikam, he cited that the US all of the time campaigning the enforcement of human rights and war on international terrorism has absolutely violated the importance of the human rights.
<>“US commitment to uphold human rights is important to question. Why did the country take sides with Israel that has obviously devastated Lebanese and Palestinians,” Hasyim said.Hasyim added that PBNU will soon invite Indonesian Foreign Minister Hasan Wirajuda, numbers of ambassadors and rectors of universities in East Java to discuss Israeli offensive in Lebanon.
They will reportedly take up the issue on a limited dialog entitled “Conflict Resolution of Lebanon-Israel and World Peace Prospect Based on the Perspectives of Foreign Policy of the Republic of Indonesia.”
Among ambassadors are from Palestine, Syria, Jordan, Iran, Malaysia, and Japan as researcher at the dialog. (han/nam)
