The First Congress of Nahdlatul Ulama Scholars Association (ISNU) will be held on 17 to 20 February 2012 at the Darul Ulum Islamic University (UNISDA), Jl. Airlangga Sukodadi, Lamongan, and be opened by general Chiarman of the Central Boad of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) KH Said Aqil Siradj on 18 February 2012.
The congress will also be enlivened by a national seminar by involving a number of speakers such as the House speaker Marzuki Ali, Chairman of the Constitutional Court Mahfud MD, Minister of Education and culture M. Nuh, Minister of Health Endang Rahayu S., Minister of Public Housing, Irnanda Laksanawan Asistant Deputy Minister at Ministry for State-Owned-Enterprises.
The seminar taking up issues on "Building Mentality, Intelligence, and Honesty in Developiong the Nation" will also be attended by NU figures such as deputy general chairman of PBNU H. As'ad Ali and chairman of PBNU Kacung Marijan.
Reportedly, the congress participated by approximately one thousand scholars across the country will also be enlivened by a mass circumcision and tambourine performance. (nam)
