JQH NU to conduct Qur’anic recitation, shalawatan and joint prayer

Dealing with the birthday celebration of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), one of the Nahdlatul Ulama autonomous bodies called as Jam’iyyatul Qurra wal Huffazh (JQH) NU will conduct a religious gathering at the Jakarta’s Istiqlal Mosque on Friday ahead.
The celebration will reportedly be started early at 08.00 by Qur’anic recitation led by Ra’is Am of JQH KH Ahsin Sakho and the General Chairman KH Muhammad Zaen.<>
Numbers of NU prominent figures such as General Chairman of the country’s largest Muslim organization KH Hasyim Muzadi, Chairman of Indonesian Ulema Council, KH Ma’ruf Amin, and the Imam of Istiqlal Mosque KH Ali Mustofa Ya’kub will reportedly attend the religious gathering.
The celebration sponsored by the Central Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU), Ministry of Home Affairs, MUI, and Jakarta Regional Administration will also be held by giving such assistance to fatherless children, disaster victims and scholarship to Qur’anic experts.
According to the organizing committee chief Yusrizal Saniago, the event had as a theme “Prayer for the Nation’s Prosperity and Peace” for considering ongoing disaster hitting the beloved country of ours. (nam)
