The Quran Recital Competition (Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran / MTQ) VII of Jam'iyyatul Qurra `Wal Huffazh of Nahdlatul Ulama (JQH NU) held in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, on July 3 - 8 ahead, will be participated by some 1320 participants from 33 provinces throughout Indonesia.<>
According to Deputy Secretary of JQH NU, Zahid Luqman, the participants were delegates from Islamic boarding schools (pesantren), or 1 and 2 best participants selected by the JQH NU in the regional level, or those who were designated by the Regional Board (PW) of JQH NU.
On June 23 - 24, Zahid said, PW JQH NU in 20 provinces, simultaneously carried out the selection of participants. While in 13 remaining provinces, did not hold it for two reasons.
"(The first is) the JQH management has just been formed, the second is it has not yet been formed. But all will send the participants."
"The MTQ will also be participated by participants from abroad, all ASEAN countries have even expressed they will send their participants," Zahid said.
In addition, there are also some participants such countries as Egypt, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Turkey, Algeria, Sudan, Russia, Australia, the United States, and Britain.
