Secretary General of the Central Board of Nahdlatul Ulama, Dr Endang Turmudzi expected Nahdlatul Ulama Girl Student Association (IPPNU) to enhance its cadres’ quality to be able to face challenges of the globalization era of ours.
“Globalization has enabled us to achieve what ever we need, but challenges may also come from anywhere. That’s why, IPPNU needs to enhance its internal quality,” Endang said at the NU office on Monday (16/10).
The country’s largest Muslim organization has now developed its cadres by giving them opportunity to study abroad.
“PBNU does expect all of you to be able to enhance quality in all respects aimed at continuing our (founding) fathers’ struggle. NU’s future depends on you, if your quality is good, NU would be better and capable of extending itself more and more,” he said.
He also added that the globalization has admitted or not brought negative impacts that should be immediately anticipated such as drug abuse and pornography. (mkf)
