Planting mangrove tree in Pangandaran

Ansor Youth Movement (GP Ansor) was ready to undertake a prospective cooperation with the Ministry of Environment on matters dealt with environment preservation. both sides signed Tuesday (3/10) a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Ansor headquarters, Jalan Kramat Raya, Jakarta.
The MoU was signed by the General Chairman of the Nahdlatul Ulama youth organization Saifullah Yusuf and the Minister of Environment Rachmat Witoelar.
Rachmat Witoelar expected the Ansor to actively participate in dealing with efforts to maintan and preserve environmental condition in the country of ours.
He admitted that the Department of Environment has so far needed militant cadres to take such favorable measures related to the environmental development.
He suggested that Ansor may be considered as the most important organization voicing matters about the environment. "From its human capital, the Ansor has had cadres ready to enter a field (of activity). It has even a good enough reputation in responding to anything related to the environment," he said.
At the same tima Saifullah "Gus Ipul" Yusuf who is also Indonesia's State Minister for the Accelerated Development of Disadvantaged Regions said, the first concrete thing that should be immediately conducted is that how to improve and maintain the ecosystem in the Pangandaran coast, Ciamis, West Java by replanting mangrove trees.
