Israel unleashed its attack on Lebanon and the Palestinians based on US support, Venezuelan Vice President Jose Vicente Rangel warned on Thursday (20/7).
In a news conference in Maracaibo, 435 miles west of Caracas, Rangel said the situation cannot be analyzed without raising the US government´s role.
The Venezuelan top official said the Israeli government has made a huge mistake in militarizing its policy, when the most important thing for a state is to manage any difference with neighboring countries diplomatically and through negotiations.
There is no justification for the number of deaths, bombing, and destruction in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip, because that is a violation of international law, he said. (pl/dar)
