West Sumatra Maarif NU to construct Islamic school

Chairman of the educational institution of Maarif NU of West Sumatra Drs Idial Alimuddin, MHI said that his institution would construct an Islamic senior high school building located at Pesantren Asadiyah Ma'arif Limapuluh Kota regency West Sumatra as part of its efforts to develop people education.

“Today (Saturday, 31/3) there would be laying of a cornerstone marking the construction of a two-floor Islamic senior high school building,” chairman of Maarif NU of West Sumatra Drs Idial Alimuddin said Saturday.<>

Respecting of the support of local community over the construction, Alimuddin suggested that the social surroundings would be again and again pleased due to the role played by Maarif NU especially that dealt with educational development.

“Hopefully, it would be such a stepping stone to at least develop education for every body living in this area (Limapuluh Kota).

Alimuddin further explained the construction would be expected to be able to develop school of thought supported by the country’s biggest Muslim organization in seeding what called as Ahlussunnah wal jamaah.

Present at the cornerstone laying ceremony, the Deputy Regent of Limapuluh Kota Ir H Irpendi Arbi, Chairman of the Central Board of Ma'arif NU Dr H A Fathoni Radli, Chairman of West Sumatra NU law making body Drs H A Miruddin, Vice Chairman of NU executive body Drs H Hamhar Baheran, and the Secretary of West Sumatra NU Firdaus SS.(dar)
