The Head of the National Coordination Unit (Kasatkornas) for the Multipurpose Ansor Front (Banser) Nahdlatul Ulama, Hasan Basri Sagala, prepared some 3000 Banser members who were ready to provide security during the NU 34th Congress, in Lampung Province, on December 22-23 2021.

The thousands of members have also attended the PAM Banser Alert Call simultaneously at the Raden Intan State Islamic University (UIN) and the University of Lampung (Unila), in Bandar Lampung, on Monday (20/12/2021).

At the ceremony, the Head of the Regional Leadership (PW) of the Youth Movement (GP) Ansor Lampung, Hidir Ibrahim, and the Kasatkornas of Banser Hasan Basri Sagala gave directions so that the thousands of Banser members could serve according to the direction of one command and professionals to make the NU Congress successful.

After the ceremony, thousands of Banser performed istighatsah (joint prayers) and tahlil for the NU muassis (founders) and hoped that this congress event would run smoothly. The istighotsah was led by Deputy Secretary General (Wasekjen) of GP Ansor Muhammad Aun.

"Alhamdulillah, the ceremony has just finished at 16.00 WIB, then the placement of the security area will be carried out. As many as 3000 Banser members were stationed at several points for the congress. The goal is to work together with the committee to make the congress successful," Hasan Basri Sagala told NU Online here on Monday (12/20/2021).

Broadly speaking, thousands of Banser will be deployed and assigned to four points. Three of them are located in Bandar Lampung, namely UIN Raden Intan, Unila, and Malahayati University. While one more point is in the Darussa'adah Islamic Boarding School, Central Lampung Regency.

In addition, Banser members will also be on standby to maintain security in several strategic places. Starting from Raden Intan Airport, Merak and Bakauheni Ports, to several toll gates and lodging places for partcipants.

"So, everything is for the convenience of the muktamirin (congress participants)," said Hasan.

Establishing Basada Command Posts

At all congress locations, Banser will also build command post. At the post, Banser Husada (Basada) will be prepared to assist the committee in providing health services to the partcipants.

“Of course Basada is focused on non-medical, if medical they are doctors or nurses, but we are non-medical. There could also be massage or other non-medical light treatments," explained Hasan.

In addition, Traffic Banser or Balantas were also deployed. They will be given the task of maintaining traffic security on the roads that will be passed by the participants. Not to forget, Banser Protocol was also deployed to serve as an information center.

"There is also Banser members that we have prepared to help and provide services to the participants. So whatever the congress asks, we will help as much as possible," he explained.

Of the thousands of Banser, most came from Lampung. Banser members from outside also arrived such as Riau, Palembang, DKI Jakarta, and Banten. However, Hasan said, the main focus of Banser deployment was Banser from Lampung. He assured that Banser's spirit was no different from the spirit brought by the congress from all over Indonesia, namely hoping that the NU 34th Congress would run smoothly.

"As ordered by the General Chairperson of GP Ansor H Yaqut Cholil Qoumas, we have been deployed to make this congress run smoothly.
