The Ansor Youth Movement has greatly appreciated the government for taking firm measures in dissolving Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia (HTI).

Chairman of Ansor H Yaqut Cholil Qoumas, popularly known as Gus Yakut, said that all forms and efforts being capable of undermining and replacing the Pancasila and the Unitary State of Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) should be opposed, both legally by the state and socially by the community.

Gus Yaqut said that the struggle to seize and defend the independence, including the birth of Pancasila's conception as the nation's ideology was not such a trial and error, but was due to the crystallization of the ideals, spirit and national conditions of Indonesia stretching across thousands of islands, hundreds of tribes and languages, dozens of religions and beliefs.

"On the foundation of diversity, the ideals of the nation and state life are built and manifest as the so-called NKRI based on Pancasila," Gus Yaqut in a press release said here on Monday (8/5).

On account of the journey of history, he added, the understanding of the ideals of the nation's founding fathers about the situation today had encouraged the NU youth wing to take efforts to awaken our awareness as a nation on the importance of defending the Pancasila ideology and loyalty to the NKRI.

"What has been done by Ansor is not solely about the dissolution of the mass organization, but as a form of consistency of our dedication to the Muslim scholars (ulema), nation and state," said the nephew of the NU prominent ulema KH A. Mustofa Bisri, popularly know as Gus Mus.

He hoped the government's concrete steps to maintain the unity of the NKRI and Pancasila are welcomed with the awareness of the people that --- we are all responsible for the continuity of the NKRI and Pancasila in order to preserve the diversity and respect for all the children of the nation who have hand in hand seized the independence, until today.
