Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun. The sad news came from Bogor, West Java. One of the chairmen of the Teachers' Association of Nahdlatul Ulama (Pergunu) H Akhsan Ustadzi died on Saturday (11/3), at 03.00 pm.
Chairman of the Bogor chapter of Pergunu Ifan Haryanto confirmed the news of the Akhsan Ustadzi's death, saying that the news of the death of the former deputy secretary general of Pergunu came as an enormous shock.
"(His) Nahdliyin colleagues (in Bogor) also got surprised. He is exhausted," he told NU Online via telephone on Saturday morning.
Secretary of Pergunu Suhardi explained, because of exhaustion, the deceased had fainted when he got home, he was finally taken to Prima Medika Hospital.
"I Testifying as the Secretary of the Central Executive Teachers Association Nahdlatul Ulama, he a good person," he said through his Facebook account.
Condolences in cyberspace came from colleagues, students, NU activists, and leaders of various Pergunu boards. They revealed their sweet memories on the man of Akhsan for being considered outgoing, hardworking and inspiring. Akhsan Ustadzi had formerly become one of NU Online contributors in Bogor and surrounding areas for several years before devoting himself to in Pergunu. (Mahbib/Masdar)
