Claimmed for supporting SBY, NU protests Democratic Party

The board of NU in Surabaya protested chairman of the Democratic party of Surabaya Wisnu Wardana for being accused of issuing unilateral statements which can damage the prestige of NU.
Chairman of the Communication Council of the Surabaya's NU Branch Board Sa'dollah recently said that Wisnu claimmed NU of Surabaya had supported the SBY-Boediono presidential-vice presidential candidate pair.<>
"It is a unilateral claim which is incorrect and can damage the prestige of NU. The Surabaya's NU Branch Board has never supported certain (presidential-vice presidential) candidate," Sa'dollah recently said.
Wisnu ever served as treasure of the Surabaya's NU Branch Board but he was dismissed in April 2009 for being a board member of political party.
"In accordance with the (organization) decision, a board member may not have double positions and should one of the positions," Sa'dollah said.
He said that the Surabaya's NU Branch Board would summon Wisnu and even send him into trial if he did not apologize over his statements, adding that NU was neutral in the upcoming presidential election. (dar)
