Leader of the Rembang's Roudlotut Tholibin Islamic boarding school (pesantren) who was also one of figures declarating the National Awakening Party (PKB) KH Mustofa Bisri (Gus Mus) said that reconciliation between the party's leaders should be their own responsibility.
Gus Mus said that as declarator he just had such a duty to announce when the party's congress would be held, saying that in regard with its internal conflict, the declarators just recommended the party's leaders to reconcile.<>
"If they want an aspirative party they should reconcile," Gus Mus who is also supreme council of the Central Board of Nahdlatul Ulama said here on Tuesday (26/01).
Gus Mus admitted that he himself felt like an outsider so that he could not give any feedback and suggestion, adding that if the party's leaders felt they have no any problem, he could no longer do anthing.
Gus Mus made the remarks after his meeting with KH Muchit Muzadi who was also one of the party's declarators.
I and kiai Muchit just give feedback and advice if they are of the view that the National Awakening Party (PKB) is umbrella for political aspiration of Nahdliyin (NU followers) to give their service in the field of politics, they should reconcile," he said. (min)
