Hasyim would explain NU's political attitudes

General Chairman of the Central Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) KH Hasyim Muzadi would reportedly attend a religious gathering (istighosah) to commemorate the 62nd Anniversary of Brebes Muslimat NU on Thursday (29/5).
At the occasion Hasyim would explain to Nahdliyin (NU followers) about the political attitudes of the Indonesia's biggest Muslim organization ahead of Central Java's gubernatorial election on coming 22 Jun.<>
Organizing Committee chief of the anniversary Hj Siti Mazkiyah told NU Online's Wasdiun in her office on Wednesday (28/5).
The commemoration may have certain political interest for the success team for the candidate of governor Bambang Sadono and his running mate Muhammad Adnan, nominated by the Golkar Party, admitted or not, have involved in the race.
In the meantime Mazkiyah said that the commemoration would not be conducted for the election. "As (organizing) committee, we do not invite Kang Adnan (Muhammad Adnan) who is also the chairman of Central Java's NU Regional Board (PWNU)," she said, adding that Adnan may personally attend the commemoration.
