Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad-Ali Hosseini here on Monday stressed that Tehran will continue its cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on its peaceful nuclear program.
Talking to foreign and domestic reporters, he said, "We believe that reviewing the existing questions and removing the ambiguities between the two sides within the adopted framework is the most appropriate way and therefore we will continue the process."<>
Commenting on the 76th General Assembly of International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) on the AMIA case being held in Morocco on November 5-8, Hosseini said, "Tehran believes that due to defects and failures of the case and its investigation process, the Argentinean government and the Interpol General Assembly should avoid any kind of political approach."
Hosseini urged the Interpol General Assembly to maintain the body's technical and legal nature and not to let others influence its international position through exerting political pressures.
In explosions at two Jewish centers in Argentina, including the buildings of Argentine-Israeli Mutual Association (AMIA) and Delegation of Israeli Argentine Associations (DAIA) on July 18, 1994, 85 people lost their lives and more than 250 others were injured. (irn/dar)
