The Nahdlatul Ulama Branch Board (PCNU) of Jombang, East Java, over the weekend, held a religious gathering and joint prayers in the location which where a new hospital of Nahdlatul Ulama will soon be built.
The religious gathering and joint prayers were conducted for welcoming the construction of the so-called Nahdlatul Ulama Hospital (RSNU) which has completed the measurement phase.<>
The joint prayers started at 8.45 were attended by deputy chairman of the East Java's Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) Abd. Halim Iskandar, deputy regent of Jombang Wijono Suparno, officials of the Jombang's PCNU and chairwoman of Muslimat NU Munjidah Wahab.
The construction committee represented by Hamid Bishri said that in realizing the project, the committee had collaborated through a MoU with a construction company, PT Wika.
"The construction of the RSNU could be started and continued for the participation of NU followers (Nahdliyin) through their wakaf land and local authorities to help deal with inadequate funds for the land's purchase," he said.
In addition, Bishri added, the East Java provincial administration and the Ministry of Heath also took part in contributing to the construction, saying "the construction is scheduled to be complete" by early next year. (mus)
