KH Masruri Mughni-Moh Adnan to chair C. Java's NU

KH Masruri and Mohammad Adnan were re-elected to chair the Central Java's NU Regional Board. At the plenary session led by the general chairman of the Central Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) KH Hasyim Muzadi, Mughni was appointed to be chairman of the PWNU Legislative Council (Syuriyah) while Adnan as chairman of the PWNU Executive Council for the period 2008-2013.
Mughni was elected by acclamation while Adnan should struggle for the "first" man in the board after defeating his competitor Ali Mufis who is now the governor of Central Java.<>
The election was tight for the organizing committee had formerly carried out such sterilization. Observers, invited guests and journalists were separated from those whose votes.
In the process of electing Rais Syuriyah, Mughni who is also the leader of Al Hikmah Islamic boarding school (pesantren), Benda, Sirampog, Brebes, gained 31 votes. While Kiai Ubaidillah just got 2 and each of other competitors like Hanif Muslich, Ali Mufiz, Muharror Ali and Buchori had 1 vote.
While in the process of electing Tanfidziyah chairman, Adnan successfully won with 26 votes from total 37. (was)
