Lack of understanding on Aswaja may cause violence

The lack of understanding about the teachings of what called as Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah (Aswaja) may cause religious-based violence.
Chairman of the Central Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) KH Masdar Farid Mas'udi would reportedly attend a meeting taking up issues on Aswaja at the Brebes Islamic Center on Monday (8/6).<>
“Tomorrow, he would explain more about Aswaja,” Organizing Committee Chief of the Halaqah Kubro Aswaja Ahmad Sururi told NU Online on Saturday (7/6).
While Rais Syuriyah (chairman of Legislative Board) of Yogyakarta's NU Regional Board KH Muwafiq would talk about the historical development of Aswaja.
Sururi said the halaqah (discussion) was held to give such understanding to Nahdliyin (NU followers) in particular and all Muslims in general.
The halaqah would be attended by chairman of Brebes NU Branch Board and its autonomous bodies' chairmen and other mass organizations. (was)
