A disaster eradication rapid reaction team providing medical treatment of flood victims of Pakistan had arrived back to Indonesia.
After 15 days of humanitarian mission for the flood victims in Pakistan, the team which left Islamabad Wednesday night arrived back in Jakarta on Thursday.<<>;br />
The team was the first to arrive in Pakistan on September 1 and returned on September 15.
The task of the first batch team was continued by the second batch from September 15 to 30.
Emergency response director of the Disaster Eradication National Agency who led the team said the total number of the team reached 45, 23 in the first batch, and 22 in the second batch.
The departure of the team was seen off by the Coordinating Minister of People`s Welfare Agung Laksono at the Soekarno-Hatta airport in Jakarta on September 1 in the morning in the presence of Pakistani ambassador to Indonesia Sanaullah and head of the Disaster Eradication National Agency Syamsul Maarif.
The departure of the humanitarian team was a follow up to a decision of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono to send a second batch assistance team.
Early in August, the government had also sent first batch assistance including logistics, fast-food, and medical supplies. (ant/dar)
