After conducting long meeting and discussion, the leadership of Nahdlatul Ulama Regional Board of West (NTB) Nusa Tenggara has recently been agreed and would focus on programs as mandated in its regional conference.
Secretary General of the Central Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) Dr. Endang Turmudi said the joint agreement was the result of a meeting involving all NU branch boards across NTB on Saturday (5/4).<>
"All branch boards have agreed the appointment of chairman of tanfidziyah and syuriah and other board members who hold double political position or double internal position," Endang said.
In the regional conference held on 16-17 July 2007 in Islamic boarding school (pesantren) of Darul Qur'an Bengkel West Lombok, Rais Syuriah (lawmaking body chairman) TGH Turmudzi Badrurin who is a member of the Advisory Board of the National Awakening Party (PKB) and Chairman of Executive Board (Tanfidziyah) H Taqiuddin Mansyur (member of Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) were appointed to chair the NTB's NU.
