The minister said his ministry had established liens of communication with Muslim communities in different parts of the world regarding hajj affairs, Islamic education, propagation and terrorism.
"There is already cooperation in hajj affairs with Russia. The Ministry of Religious Affairs has provided instructors on hajj affairs to leaders of Islamic communities in 40 big cities in Russia," he was quoted by Antara as saying.
Suryadharma Ali, who is also chairman of the United Development Party (PPP), said his ministry had provided scholarships for Russian students to deepen their knowledge about Islam.
