Senior figure supports Slamet Effendy Yusuf to be the "best" man in NU

Ex-chairman of the Ansor Youth Movement (GP Ansor) Slamet Effendy Yusuf is considered the appropriate figure to chair the Indonesi'a largest Muslim organization, Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) for the the coming five years.
The statement was made by the leader of As-Sidiqiyah Islamic boarding school (pesantren) KH Nur Muhammad Iskandar SQ here Tuesday.<>
Kiai Nur said that Slamet Effendy Yusuf was a figure whose such illuminating visions in leading NU if the organization wants to go forward.
"Slamet Effendy (Yusuf) has brilliant ideas and firmly stands on the ethics of ulema (Muslim scholars)," he said.
In addition, Kiai Nur also said that the Slamet's personality was considerably in line with the values having so far been preserved by NU such as moderate, tolerant and loving his country. (min)
