Vice President Boediono is scheduled to close the 23rd National Qoran Reciting Contest (MTQN) at the Anak Dalam sports stadium in Bengkulu city on Saturday night.
Boediono will leave Halim Perdanakusuma military airport in Jakarta for Bengkulu at 04.00 p.m. and close the contest at 07.30 p.m., vice presidential spokesman Yopie Hidayat said here on Saturday.<<>br />
"Pak (Mr.) Boediono will not spend the night in Bengkulu. Shortly after closing the MTQ he will fly back to Jakarta. He will arrive in Jakarta at around 11.00 p.m.," he said.
The one-week event which was opened by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono last Saturday was taken part by around 2,430 kafilah (Qoran reciters) from all over the country. (ant/dar)
