A number of dreams and hopes that Muslims, especially NU followers will have a great and proud cooperative, were raised at a meeting of Imkopsim (Induk Koperasi Syirkah Muawanah) followed by supervisory board, governing board, and management in Jakarta, on Sunday (8/18).
These expectation was voiced by vice chairman of NU economic affair, H Eman Suryaman, as well. According to him, Inkopsim as a cooperative affiliated to NU, must be supported by NU in order to grow continually, and being main cooperative (induk koperasi) expected by ummah.
“We want the cooperative that we develop is growing and being economic power of the community,” he expected.
Eman, who was former chairman of provincial branch of NU west Java, added, Inkopsim must worked and developed according to vision and mission of the cooperative. Good cooperative, he stressed, was not only pursuing profit, but also thinking about advantages to its members. Mutual cooperation and togetherness must be spirit of inkopsim.
“The term is, inkopsim must be global, but people oriented,” he explained.
H Eman gave high appreciation to Inkopsim functioning as a bridge among small and micro businesses to provide capital.
He said that mayority small and micro business owners were NU followers. The number was substansial and they were being supporter of community economic movement. Therefore, it also supported national economic stability of the community.
